Inside Sales Representative

Job Description

The Inside Sales Representative promotes and strengthens the relationship between Polar tech Industries and existing customers through exceptional customer service skills. These representatives are the customer’s first point of contact when placing orders over the phone and for prospects reaching out to Polar Tech for the first time. It is imperative for the Inside Sales Rep. to handle each call in a professional manner and provide the customer with the best experience and first impression. This position is responsible for being the ‘farmer’ for all existing customers calling in and using sales skills to optimize each call to maximize profitability. The Inside Sales Department cultivates, manages, and gains new customers via Polar Tech’s website or on their own: each representative is expected to grow and maintain their own territory through converting inbound prospects into customers and by following up on previous quotes and sample requests. The Inside Sales Representative acts as the liaison for our customers and all Polar Tech departments to assure they are always thoroughly taken care of during new ventures, the ordering process, and any follow-ups needed for tracking, damages, etc. after an order has shipped.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

New customers/prospects/existing customers

· Answer customer’s calls regarding placing orders

· Answer prospect inquiries via email within 24 hours

· Negotiate prices or other sales terms with new customers

· Respond to current or potential customers to promote products or services.

· Gather customer or product information to determine customer needs.

· Sell products or services via phone/email.

· Recommend new or additional products or services to customers while ordering.

· Process phone orders, physical orders, and quotes for new and existing customers.

· Freight orders and quotes utilizing approved carriers.

· Verify customer credit information.

· Identify, investigate, and assess customer’s needs including concerns, shipment problems, pricing disputes, lost shipments, freight concerns, etc.

· Present solutions to customers with Polar Tech in mind (debits, credits, replacements, returns, freight claims, etc.)

· Maintain records of customer accounts and quotes.

· Answer customer questions about goods or services.

· Estimate costs or terms of sales.

· Explain technical product or service information to customers.

· Discuss design or technical features of products or services.

· Arrange delivery of goods or services – freight terms and quotes

· Maintain records of sales or other business transactions.

· Prepare financial documents, reports, or quotes for new and existing customers

· Identify potential customers coming through email

· Share sales-related or market information with colleagues.

· Advise customers on the use of products or services.

· Study product information to acquire professional knowledge.

· Distribute promotional literature or samples to customers.

· Monitor market conditions or trends.

Minimum Education and Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required. (2) years previous CSR experience preferred.
